Southern Thunder Adds North Alabama Date with Minor Schedule Changes
Woodruff, South Carolina (February 5, 2025) – Officials with the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series announced that they have added a $5000 to win event at the North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama. In its 48-year history, the high-banked 3/8ths of a mile oval has hosted many of the nation’s top dirt racing series including Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, World of Outlaws Late Models and Southern All Stars Racing Series will add yet another series to the list on Saturday night, September 13th.
Along with the addition of the North Alabama event, STSDS also made schedule modifications to include moving the May 24th Screven Motor Speedway date to June 7th and the June 13th Penton Raceway will now be on Friday night May 9th to create a doubleheader weekend with Senoia. “We hate we had to make some more changes to our schedule, but as other schedules come out and we start looking at what works better for our tracks we have to adjust a little. It is important to be smart with our schedule so we needed a couple of tweaks.” said STSDS General Manager Kelley Carlton.
