Penton Raceway and Senoia Raceway up next for Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series
WOODRUFF, SC (April 29th, 2025) – The Southern Thunder™ Super Dirt Series kicks off a busy two-week stretch with a doubleheader in Alabama and Georgia. The series will first invade Penton (Ala.) Raceway on Friday, May 9th, for the $5,000-to-win Danny Carswell Memorial, before heading to the famed Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on Saturday, May 10th for a $7,500-to-win event.
Friday, May 9th: Penton Raceway
- Gates Open at 4PM(CT)
- Hot Laps at 7:30PM(CT)
- $5,000-to-win show for Southern Thunder™ Super Late Models–Hot Laps, Time Trials, B-Mains, 40-Lap Feature.
- Joining the Southern Thunder™ Super Dirt Series on the undercard will be… 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, Charger, Front Wheel Drive, Factory Stock, Mod Mini, and Bomber.
Friday Ticket Information:
- Grandstands: $20 (Kids 7-11: $15/Kids 6 & Under: Free)
- Pits: $40 (Kids 7-11: $15/Kids 6 & Under: Free)
Saturday, May 10th: Senoia Raceway
- Pit Gates Open at 3PM(ET)
- Grandstand Gates Open at 5PM(ET)
- Hot Laps at 6PM(ET)
- $7,500-to-win show for Southern Thunder™ Super Late Models–Hot Laps, Time Trials, B-Mains, 50-Lap Feature.
- Joining the Southern Thunder™ Super Dirt Series on the undercard will be… Hobby, Charger, and 602 Late Models.

- Pits: $35 (Kids 6-12: $20/Kids 5 & Under: Free)

Super Late Model Tire Rule
LF: Open
LR and RF: Hoosier NLMT 2 or 3 / American Racer Pro 3 or SD48
RR: Hoosier NLMT 3 or 4 / American Racer Pro 3 or 4
Grooving and siping are allowed. No tire limits. Absolutely no chemical treatments allowed. Tire samples will be taken for lab analysis.
Penton Raceway is located at 2266 Co Rd 108, La Fayette, AL 36862.
Senoia Raceway is located at 171 Brown Rd, Senoia, GA 30276.
